Guitar lessons with Steve are currently available online via Zoom or Skype. In-person sessions will resume once the social distancing restrictions have been lifted.
Who?
The Guitar Room offers electric and acoustic guitar tuition with Steve Dodds, a very experienced professional musician, composer and professional guitar teacher. As well as complete beginners, students have included professional guitar players, successful songwriters, professional guitar teachers, music therapists and lots of guitar players who just wanted to improve their playing skills whether at home or for their band playing.
Where?
From the comfort of your own home! Steve offers one-to-one, online sessions via Zoom/Skype. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, in-person sessions are currently unavailable, though they will be available again as soon as it is safe to do so.
Methods?
Steve has developed an array of proven methods and approaches that, combined with his passion for music and teaching, help students progress fast and in an enjoyable and creative manner. All playing styles are covered depending on your taste and focus. Learn your favourite music and improve your techniques, theory (made easy if and when needed), improvisation, composition, performance, get music gear advice and…a good cup of tea! (see below for further insight). Help with the guitar grades (optional) and school music exams.
Students of all ages are welcome and all levels from beginners to accomplished musicians.
Costs?
A one hour slot is £40. Students can have either weekly or fortnightly lesson slots to suit their schedules and budgets. Also book as you go lessons are also available for those who need to fit around shifting work schedules etc.
